Meeting the Dream w/ Amanda Lovejoy Street

A creative dream workshop.

Like the sea itself, the unconscious yields an endless and self-replenishing abundance of living creatures, a wealth beyond our fathoming. - Jung

Dreams want to wake us up. They offer us a glimpse into our inner dynamics that are asking to be seen and to inner presences (people, symbols, animals) that are yearning to be heard.

Through guided meditation and slowing down the central nervous system (with breath and body exercises), we will make contact with the unconscious and create room to release habitual patterns. While dropped into the unconscious we will explore dream material through sensory exploration, breath, gesture, voice and embodied imagination. When we return to the topside world, there will be time to work with the dream material through writing and with art supplies. Before we close, we will gather as a group and explore the dream material as a collective and seek to touch upon where each of our dreams want to go.

Preparation for this workshop will include a dream assignment and some simple writing to stir up the unconscious. A dream is not required to participate as you may also work with waking dreams or creative material.

$80
