A grounding yoga and meditation practice exploring the elements. Open with pranayama (breath work) to connect us to our innate life force and unlock the channels in the subtle body. Then move into an hour-long vinyasa practice and discover how the asanas (postures) derive from nature, as we heat the body and challenge the mind. We will go beyond the architecture of the poses into the more subtle realms of how to cultivate and manage prana in our practice. This practice will be a moving meditation sprinkled with dharma.
After the practice, settle into a traditional, silent tea ceremony. Cha Dao "The Way of Tea", aligns us with flow of the natural world. We will explore meditation through connecting with the medicine of Tea and how this ancient plant has been used for centuries to calm the mind and awaken the senses. Everyone will experience the dance of earth, water, fire, air, and ether through this ceremony.
