In a supportive environment that integrates accessible physical and writing sequences, you will learn to calm your nervous system, find lightness in your body, and mine your imagination, all while connecting to the core of your craft. Sense Writing frees you from the thoughts you think you “should” be thinking so you learn to create without anxiety.

Sense Writing I is the first step into an approach designed to spark your curiosity about your own creative process. It has been taught at leading conservatories, universities, and retreat centers, including New York University/Tisch School of the Arts, Kripalu Yoga retreat, and New York's Open Center.

Madelyn Kent, Developer of Sense Writing, is a Somatic Educator, Feldenkrais Practitioner, and former faculty of Creative Writing at New York University. As a playwright and director based in New York, her plays have been presented at several theaters in New York and abroad.
